1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading or using any Coyneko app ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. If you do not agree, please do not use the App. These terms apply to all users across all versions of Coyneko.

2. Description of Service

Coyneko is a personal finance tracking application for iOS that allows you to record transactions, manage budgets, track investments, and view financial insights. Features and data storage behaviour may vary between app versions — please refer to the relevant App Store listing for details. The App is intended for personal, non-commercial use only.

3. License to Use

We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to use the App on any Apple device that you own or control, solely for your personal, non-commercial purposes in accordance with these Terms and Apple's App Store Terms of Service.

You may not:

  • Copy, modify, or distribute the App or any part of it.
  • Reverse-engineer, decompile, or disassemble the App.
  • Use the App for any unlawful purpose or in violation of any applicable law or regulation.
  • Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any systems related to the App.

4. In-App Purchases & Pricing

Coyneko apps may be free to download or paid, and may offer optional in-app purchases (one-time unlocks or subscriptions) depending on the version. All purchases are processed by Apple's App Store using StoreKit 2. We do not receive or store your payment details. Pricing is as displayed in the App Store at the time of purchase.

All purchases are final and non-refundable except as required by applicable law or as permitted by Apple's refund policy. If you believe you are entitled to a refund, please contact Apple Support directly.

5. User Responsibilities

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of any financial data you enter into the App. Coyneko Lite is a personal tracking tool and does not constitute financial, investment, tax, or legal advice. Always consult a qualified professional before making financial decisions.

6. Intellectual Property

All content, design, graphics, code, and other materials in the App are the intellectual property of Coyneko and are protected by applicable copyright, trademark, and other laws. Nothing in these Terms grants you any right to use our trademarks, logos, or other brand features without our prior written consent.

7. Privacy

Your use of the App is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated into these Terms by reference. Coyneko is designed to minimise data collection. All data resides on your device and, where enabled, your personal iCloud account.

8. Disclaimers

The App is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis without warranties of any kind, either express or implied, including but not limited to warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the App will be error-free, uninterrupted, or free of viruses or other harmful components.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, Coyneko and its developers shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages — including loss of data, profits, or goodwill — arising out of or in connection with your use of or inability to use any Coyneko app, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

Our total liability to you for any claim arising out of or relating to the App shall not exceed the amount you paid for the App or any in-app purchase in the twelve months preceding the claim.

10. Third-Party Services

The App integrates with Apple platform services (App Store, WidgetKit, LocalAuthentication, UserNotifications). Your use of those services is governed by Apple's own terms and policies. We are not responsible for the availability or content of any third-party services.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from these Terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Australia.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you via an App Store update notice. Your continued use of the App after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
