1. Overview

Coyneko is a personal finance tracker built with privacy as a core principle. Your financial data is stored on your own device and, where enabled, your personal iCloud account. We do not collect, transmit, or store your personal or financial information on our servers.

2. Data We Collect

We do not collect personal or financial data. All information you enter — ledgers, transactions, budgets, assets, and settings — is stored locally using SwiftData on your iPhone or iPad. It never reaches our servers unless explicitly stated for a specific feature.

3. Data Storage & Sync

  • All app data is stored locally via SwiftData on your device.
  • Widget data is shared between the app and its Home Screen widgets using an App Group (on-device only, no network transmission).
  • Preferences (language, notifications, biometric lock) are stored in UserDefaults on your device.
  • Where iCloud sync is available and enabled by you, your data syncs across your own Apple devices via your personal iCloud account. We have no access to this data.

Specific sync capabilities vary by app version. Please refer to the in-app settings or App Store description for your version.

4. In-App Purchases

Coyneko apps may offer optional in-app purchases (such as one-time feature unlocks or subscriptions), all processed entirely by Apple's App Store. We do not receive or store your payment information. Apple's Privacy Policy governs all payment transactions.

5. Notifications

If you enable notifications (budget alerts, daily reminders, or monthly summaries), these are generated and delivered entirely on-device by iOS. No notification content is sent to our servers.

6. Biometric Authentication

If you enable Face ID or Touch ID, authentication is handled entirely by iOS's LocalAuthentication framework. Biometric data never leaves your device or passes through our systems.

7. Third-Party Services

Coyneko integrates only with Apple platform services and, where applicable, select financial data providers for features such as live stock prices. Any such integrations are clearly disclosed within the app and involve only the minimum data necessary (e.g. a stock ticker symbol) to provide the feature. No personal or financial data is shared.

Apple platform services used include:

  • Apple App Store – for in-app purchases (StoreKit 2)
  • iOS WidgetKit – for Home Screen widgets
  • iOS LocalAuthentication – for biometric lock
  • iOS UserNotifications – for local notifications
  • iCloud / CloudKit – for optional data sync (where enabled)

No third-party analytics, advertising SDKs, or tracking libraries are included in any Coyneko app.

8. Children's Privacy

Coyneko apps do not knowingly collect any information from children under the age of 13. Since no personal data is collected from any user, this requirement is met by design.

9. Changes to This Policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we will update the "Last updated" date above and, where appropriate, notify you via an App Store update notice. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
